June 2016
After the excitement of the BIG lift back on to its bogies, we returned to the mundane but necessary restoration and fitment of pipes under the loco. Lots of wire wheel and angle grinder action either at the loco or back in the workshop. With the weather being fine this was achieved easily. The white paint was liberated from the paint store and the plethora of brake pipes received their gloss top coat. If you are interested in helping out please contact David Jenkins |
