Now the welding has been completed above where the battery boxes live, we arranged for a ELR employee to assist with shunting of the loco and driving the manitou to lift the battery boxes in to place. The correct bolts were sourced and after some slight adjustments the boxes reluctantly went back on. Although the process sounds simple these boxes were an absolute pig to get back on, consuming more time that first thought.
